Well I have been waiting patiently for spring, working out in the yard in hopes that spring will come to stay! :) I can easily forget all about the camera when it comes to being outside. I have made a point to bring the camera a long and play around a little bit, but not as much as I should.
We did our annual Bristol Nascar trip in March and the weather was absolutely beautiful! We sure missed the regulars that usually go!!! Meleah and Colin are expecting a baby in April, so they weren't able to make it this year. On another note, I am so excited for them and the new addition that will be arriving soon!!! I am more excited to squeeze on the little one and get some great pictures!!!
My oldest daughter just got her license the beginning of April!! UGH! That is all I can say on my feelings with that!! I am predicting that I have lots of anxiety attacks with in her first year of driving! It has been very nice to have someone else run to town for me, but I am not ready for my daughter to be behind the wheel! It has been a challenge to teach her what isn't her turn lane and who has the right away, when everyone else just chooses to drive the way they want. Right wrong or other wise, I hope she doesn't develope the road rage I get while driving! =(
I am so excited for her because I remember that was one of the greatest feelings as a teenager, but I am not ready to turn her loose out there with all the other drivers that don't pay attention!! I am not sure how my parents survived me walking out that door to get behind the wheel!

Is it spring yet?
Anyone who knows me, knows I just don't handle winter well. I see a nice day coming and look forward to it just to see wind, rain or clouds along with those nice days. :( I knew we had 60's on the way and I remember seeing sunshine on the forcast! I go back today to check it all out to see wind! UGH!!!! I am very appreciative of any nice days I can get, but this has honestly been the longest winter ever. :) but I'm so ready for sunshine, green grass, bright colors and warm jacketless days!!!
I just spoke with a girl from Florida a little while ago that I feel like I've known forever. (She is a member of a forum I have been active with for years). After talking to her, I am more ready for spring than ever. Listening to those stories of being able to go outside to a beautiful scene at most any given time just made me realize how brown, cold and dead everything is here. I know we are actually still winter time and I am holding on as patient as I can!
I am excited with some new idea's I have, some new wraps for babies (I call them cocoons) but they are cute!!! I am waiting on some new backdrops to use with kids..... so hopefully this will brighten things up for me and settle my spring fever a little bit.
I am still not keeping up with my blog very well :( and I am sorry.... but I promise, I will not give up on it.
Keep an eye out here because this is where I will post sneak peaks (if I can keep up) of sessions and will keep you up to date with whats been going on.

Shelbyville Rescue Squad Fundraiser
I wrote the following letter to the Shelbycountynews.net Letter to the editor... I wanted to add it here as well. I am hoping to get some idea's together for more fundraising events for the squad this summer.
I’m writing to let the community know a little more about the Shelby County Rescue Squad before our big fundraiser next weekend.
The Rescue Squad is made up of a group of volunteer members who give freely of their time to help rescue victims and hopefully save lives. Our duties include, but are not limited to, vehicle extractions, searching for a missing loved one, assisting the dive team in a rescue situation, assisting medical technicians and paramedics, and so much more. The Rescue Squad is called out through a paging system anytime day or night and during all types of weather conditions. The members respond to the page and are there to assist in any rescue situation.
The Rescue Squad has regular training sessions and meetings to continually stay updated with the technology and equipment used in rescue situations.I have been a member of the Rescue Squad for about 7 years and I know first hand what a thankless job it can be. I, along with every other member, enjoy the job and do not think twice about volunteering the time it takes to help someone in need. It is rewarding to be able to help someone in an emergency situation – there is no greater feeling. I have spoken to several people over the years that ask me, “What is the Rescue Squad?” or “What do you do?” Someone usually asks me about the blue light in my vehicle – they assume I am on the Fire Department.
I know a lot of people are not aware of the Shelby County Rescue Squad and their duties.Unfortunately, the Shelby County Rescue Squad does not get any sort of funding from the federal or state government. We are not affiliated with any other emergency organization. We rely completely on fundraisers or donations to help purchase all equipment that we need to use in an emergency situation.
The Shelby County Rescue Squad will be holding a fundraiser with Roedel Racing, Saturday, March 7, at 3:00 p.m. at the Sit-n-Sip in Shelbyville. We will have the Rescue truck parked outside along with the Roedel race car. We are inviting kids to come and see the equipment that is used in a rescue situation. They can have their picture taken with the truck, equipment, or race car. There will be delicious food available, 50/50 drawings, silent auctions, and door prizes.

Wrestling
I don't have boys so I don't attend these wrestling events on a regular basis. I did attend one last year and did wish I had my camera. So this year I brought my camera and I had a really great time capturing these little boys in action!!! I laughed while taking pictures of their expressions and continued to laugh the next day while going back through these pictures. It was a lot of fun to hang out and capture something different than I normally shoot.
These boys were so cute to watch and I had a great time hanging out with them!
I took way too many pictures!!! Even after going through and weeding out, I still ended up with a lot, I didn't do anything to these pictures... but for the friends' kids I will go back through and do some artsy stuff too, so give me a little time. But to get a good start on what I have, just enter: "Wrestling" as the user name and password. There are well over a 100 pictures, so it might take some time to load :(

This little guy was so cute!!! His name is Carter and he had a smile on his face the whole time we did pictures. It didn't matter what position we put him in or how many clothes he had on, he was a happy little guy!
He had so many good pictures, I swear Sara, I really tried to keep them narrowed down for ya!!
This little ones hardly ever like the tea cup! I think he could have sat there all day playing with his toes. :)

Very confusing!
Last night we had a discussion with our daughter Kasey who is just about to turn 16. The discussion started out as, growing up and your responsibilities as a grown up. It then led us to spending habits, the way the economy is becoming, politics taxes, and bills.
I am not sure this discussion was making much sense to her as she was coming back with questions like “Why” well I am not sure how you explain something to a young adult as to why when nothing makes sense to us grown ups that have been doing it as long as we have.
I don’t know how to explain to a young adult that the cost of living continues to rise but your assets are worth nothing. You are asked to pack up, save and recycle, but the price of that recycled container is costing you more money. You will watch your government bail out companies that pay their selves 6 figure incomes, while you will still struggling to make your everyday “necessity to live” bills meet ends.
Craig keeps up on what is going on “today” through TV or articles, so he did most of the explaining. I sat back listening to this conversation understanding how someone could be so confused! Then you are expected to throw them out there in the middle of this mess and hope and pray they make it!
When you think the conversation concluded in telling Kasey “You go out there and get a good education, work hard, be a good person to people, make good choices and you should be fine” The thought of that conversation turns into a contradiction. You teach child to be a good person but your have to teach them to not let people walk on them and they have to figure out that happy medium. Or you teach them to give but tell them they will find everyone who will want something if you give too much. You teach them to invest in things that may be necessary to have to help them be successful but have to explain you can dig yourself a hole with unnecessary investments. This conversation really turned everyone to full confusion on life.
I am not sure explaining something that doesn’t make sense to anyone, was the right explanation for Kasey. I feel for any young adult who is about to take a step out into this world! I hope and pray my girls have enough independence to have a strong mind to make the right decisions, if there is such a thing as “The right decision” Being a parent is such a tough job, but preparing them to step out there is scary!

I can't believe how time passes by.... It sure doesn't seem that long ago I was doing this little girls baby pictures! She is so grown up acting each time I see her. Beautiful little kids with very cute personalities. :)
I never expect a little one who has conquered walking, to sit down for a posed picture. I followed Everett as fast as I could to get some cute candids.... and we did get a few!!!
