What has been going on???

Well I'm not the blogger I thought I would be, so I'm way behind on keeping everyone informed with my photography world.

Hospital Pictures
I got a call from Michelle who is putting together Shelby Memorial Hospitals website. She was looking for a local photographer and a good word was put in for me. So I got a call asking me to put together a price list to do our local hospital's pictures. I put something together, met with Michelle to get a couple days set up to do portraits of the staff members, board members and discussed taking some candid type pictures through out the hospital.

I was very excited to have the opportunity to do a nice clean portrait which was appropriate for a hospital website, minus all the everyday special effects that go along with a session type portrait. Plus, they had someone there to assist me, their background color was already chosen and a list of the pictures they wanted was already on a schedule, so the hard part was taking care of!!

So we set up 2 days last week and done pictures at the hospital. Michelle has been wonderful to work with and all the pictures went great!! I am really excited to see the website up and going soon!!!

Vacation
We just about ran out of time for a vacation this year!! =(  We took a quick little trip to Indiana Holiday World. We let the girls each take a friend. Jessie our oldest daughters boyfriend got back from his job early, so he got to go with us. It was a nice little weekend. We stayed in a hotel for 2 nights and spent the entire day at Holiday World Saturday, played in the hotel pool and ate all weekend!! We came back Sunday and then back to school for the kids Monday. It was a nice little last minute get away.

Time for pictures!!!
I am filling up fast with Seniors and families. Everyone is wanting to take advantage of the cooler weather and booking their appointments for the next couple months. So if you're wanting to get that outdoor family portrait done, better call!!!!

New Computer
My friend from Oklahoma everyone has heard me talk about, has been on me and on me about upgrading my photoshop, my computer and other little things photography related!! =) Anyone who knows me, knows that I hate change when I am in my comfort zone with photography! I keep reminding her, I can do everything I need to do with what I have (except the computer part, that's another story) I don't buy something that everyone else is buying or using, I make it or I make something to work as good!!! That is all part of the fun, to me! Needless to say, she always makes my life a lot easier!!

Well I seriously needed a new computer! I had way too much program on a little system. That is way out of my knowledge area! So I ask her husband to make me a new computer, I get this computer and I am in total AWWWW!!!!!! So I am still learning all the new windows stuff, sorting and organizing all my photoshop files, plus I gave the old system to my girls and they are waiting for me to get all my junk off that computer so it will run better. I am afraid to delete anything right now. Even thought it's backed up 3 different places =) So, I'm still sorting and making sure I have things organized on my computer all while getting side tracked with browsing online photography articles =)

Have a great day and get outside and enjoy this wonderful weather!!!!!

Betsy & Emily

This is Betsy and her sweet little girl Emily. I've known Betsy since she was born, growing up with 3 boys, I was super excited to see a little girl come in the Hubner/Fredrick family. She is now the mother of Emily, a bright, sweet little girl!! We've had fun playing before, but Mom hasn't had pictures with Emily since she was little. So when Mom stated she was going to call for Christmas pictures, I had to say, let's do it now!!!!! =)

~Please keep in mind these are not full resolution pictures and they will look distorted and the color and lighting will be off a little due to making the files small for blog proofing only~

A Prayer For Our Troops

God, hold our troops in Thy loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the selfless acts
They perform for us in our time of need.
Amen !

This video was posted on facebook and I had to share this for everyone. Please remember our troops and remember the families who sacrafice their loved ones for our freedom.
