Family portraits

We were able to sneak in a group family photo on both sides of our family over the holiday weekend. I don't remember in the last 16 years of being with Craig, his family having a family photo, so it was nice to get that done. I think the Grandparents are at the end of any new additions to the family, so we got them with all of their grandchildren. We had 2 grandpa's who don't like to smile, but they did a great job and they turned out nice. And they will be glad they got it done when they see them.

Winter Time!!!

Well we got a good snow Sat. evening and so Amber had to go out and play on Sunday. She found a hole to play with and made big enough to get down in. She wanted me to bring my camera and get a picture.

Aubrie & Everett

I Was shooting her before she could sit up and look at her now!! She really loves her little brother. Everett is such a good baby, and is so cute!!!

Meet Nash

This is little guy belongs to some friends of ours. He came over for a really fast picture session and he did so good!! I had to put him out there and show him off. The hat was too cute!!!

My Nephew

This is my Nephew Jarrett, He had so many good pictures, but this was my favorite!!

I am not sure what this picture was, but it cracks me up! Looks like Dad is trying to tell him something and Jarrett is thinking, "Are you for real?"

First Birthday

I had another cute First Birthday party for Aubrie, I love doing these and the kids are so cute to watch. She did a great job and loved her cake!! I think she loved the balloons more though. When they are busy, I think that makes the cutest pictures. I know parents think they should just sit there and be good, but honestly their personality shows more when they get to do what they want. She is an absolute doll and is getting that personality figured out!

Winter Time

Well I thought the time has come for things to slow down a little bit. I have had a hard time getting Senior an family pictures outdoors due to the unpredictable weather and things aren't very pretty anymore. The weather hasn't slowed down the pictures for indoors, I have had a lot of great shots indoors lately with beautiful families!!! Private of course.....for Xmas presents and such. I had to sit and make a big list of my private sessions, so I didn't forget about them. I am just dying to show them off! I have a hard time with surprises, so I could imagine how some of these families feel!!!

I was talking to a friend yesterday and they were talking about doing pictures and I am laughing inside thinking.... they have already been done, he just doesn't know it yet. :)

So after the new year I can update my gallery's with the cutest pictures. I am so behind on updating my new designs on cards, but I have made a lot of new ones that are very cute. That is on my list of stuff to do today.

I am hoping to get the house decorated Sun. for Xmas, so that will be one less thing I have to do. I hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!!!

Some more Digital Art

As I have said before this is what I love the most about photography! I had the opportunity to shoot another bike and play with lots of new backgrounds. This was a new cool background I wanted to show off.

A group of great kids!

These kids were so cute and they were the best well mannered kids! I had to show them off and do a little bragging. :) It's hard to get them to all look the same way, but I think they did a great job!

I am not sure what the oldest was doing, and not sure the other two where either, but it cracks me up.

She was just too cute, so I got a few of her when her personality started to kick in.

New Xmas Card for 2007

Everyone has been asking about my Xmas Cards this year. Every year I try to come up with something neat and unique, so here it is. My Photographer friend from Oklahoma gave me this idea and so I transformed it into my own style. I was just going to do the girls, thinking there is no way I could get Craig to do it. Well.....Craig thought it included the family when I was talking about making the card and so he kinda fell into it. :)

Can you believe it is almost that time of year?? I absolutely hate cold weather!!! But I love to decorate the entire house in Christmas!!! I get rid of Craig and then the girls and I spend the whole day decorating! I will have 5 Christmas Tree's this year!!!!! Craig is so excited about it that I don't even have to kick him out of the house anymore to decorate. :)

Busy!

I have been very busy, just had a wedding in Indiana and have 5 sessions waiting to be done. I still don't do weddings!!!! :) But all my family seems to be getting married this year and my reply is always...."You won't hurt my feelings one bit if you get someone else to do it" But I have been the chosen one for them. And yes I am honored to be chosen!! Sorry to everyone else I have turned down in the past, but I really don't do weddings. The wedding went great I got another beautiful and fun bride! So I feel pretty good about having some cool cousins!! Anyway it was beautiful, we got to see family and it all went great. I will post a few online when I get through them. I am not going to post all the formals this time, but I will share some.

I can't make up my mind which sessions I want to go through, so I am doing some here and some there. I have my room to myself tonight. I don't have to turn the music up due to kids fighting, so it has been pretty relaxing sitting here working on pictures and listening to music.

Well check back for some new pics!! Although most are private, but I will have some online!!!

Sisko & Kids

I introduced Sisko and his bike Alice in a previous post. I got to meet Sisko's daughters and granddaughters this evening. A very fun session!!!! 2 beautiful granddaughters with very cute personalities. We had a great time using Alice as the background for this session while watching these girls play and capturing their personalities.

These girls were all ready for their session.... They showed up with fresh tattoo's and matching Harley shirts!! They did a great job posing and playing.

I still have some pictures to work on and will get them on soon!!! But here are just a few of my favorites that I have gone through.

Teacup Baby

My photographer friend from Oklahoma told me about this shot, so I found my teacup and was dying to try it out! I was in search for a baby to use , so I called my neighbor and asked if I could barrow her other child to use for this shot. She brough him over so I could play. When I come up with a new idea, I always call Annie, thank goodness for close neighbors with cute kids!! :)So if your interested in cute shots for Xmas... I will be getting Xmas ones very very soon!!!

Enough Seriousness!!

This senior has to be the funniest Senior I have done yet! He made the whole day a lot of fun! I had to post just a few of his goofy poses...... There were a lot of silly ones, so I had to weed out and narrow down for my blog. Even though he started yawning towards the end of the session he would still manage to throw in a few stilly ones.I haven't met a boy yet that is overly excited to get Senior pictures done, but you will make mom proud if you do!!! :)Thanks Austin for making a session full of fun!!

A little doll I call Dora

This little girl is my little Dora. We were together one time at a cookout with some other little kids and we played "Dora the Explorer" and "Spongebob" So her name became Dora and I was Sponge Bob!! And when I see her out, we call eachother by our play names. :)

She is the sweetest little girl I have ever met! I am telling you any photographer would love to have this little girl. I had so many favorites of her, there is no way I could have picked just 1.

I did a shoot of her and her older sister for fun last year (who by the way is just as sweet as this one), but we had so much fun just playing dress up and playing around so I knew she would be good for any session I was lucky to have with her.. Her parents are truly very nice people and have done a great job of raising 2 beautiful well behaved little girls!!!

Senior Session

I met this young lady for the first time to do Senior Portraits. Part way through the session I found I was seeing a young lady with a lot of different looks. I enjoyed working on these pictures!! I didn't feel like I was working with the same person in every photo. There were too many good photo's for me to choose just one favorite, but this one stands out to me the most.It was nice to meet you guys and I had a good time, even though the weather wasn't the greatest.
Thanks Mindy for the spreading the word!!!

Meet Sisko & Alice

I wanted to introduce Sisko and Alice. Sisko has had this bike a long time and has completely restored it to a show bike that he still enjoys riding. I was very excited to get a call from someone I had never met, to do more bike pics. As that is where the most passion is for me with photography.

Upon meeting Sisko, he had an amazing story about himself and Alice that anyone would love to hear. Under bikers tough leather and many Tats, there is a usually a great story and an awesome bike!!After meeing Sisko, not only did I want to shoot the bike, I wanted to shoot the creator.

As you can see the 2 of them went together! I truly enjoyed meeting Sisko and loved shooting Alice!!!!Sisko says "Ride it like you stole it"

Perfect Halloween Photo

have always admired art work on train cars as I wait at a railroad crossing. I saw this train car during one of my Senior portrait sessions. I am not a big fan of scull heads, but I have to say this is an amazing piece of art work! During my Senior portrait session, I am trying to figure out how long it took to draw this, how many people were involved, how many ladders were needed, and how many times they got caught before they finished :)I had to get a picture and show this amazing work off!!

My Lil Aubrie

This is the little girl I refer to as “My lil Aubrie” I have been taking photo’s of her since she was a baby. I have seen her go through all the changes as she finds out what kind of little girl she wants to be! She is very independent and hard to keep up with as she blooms into her toddler years. :) I get to see her at least every 3 months and she changes so much every time I get to see her. I had to show Aubrie off to everyone so you would know who “My lil Aubrie” is.

Wedding Survival

Ok so I survived the wedding and I feel like I have had a very good work out!!! I don't think I have ever worked 17 hours straight in my life. :) For being 2 hours behind on schedule, it went great!!! It was almost a brain overload!!!It was so good to see all you girls again and I had so much fun hanging out with you all of you guys again. I will be providing a link to Meleah of the ones I won't put online :) so make sure you get ahold of her to get the private link.

Meleah is such a beautiful person in so many ways and she was the most beautiful bride ever!! I didn't even think "What would I do if I cried while being the photographer" It was tough. Here she comes down the isle and I see tears and then I tear up trying to focus. It's a good thing I didn't see a tear in Jimmy's eye or I would have had to wing it! It turned out so beautiful and the reception was just as beautiful as she was. Oh and Colin was very handsome too!

I couldn't wait to get home and start working on these pictures and as I am opening them up I am re-living the whole day. Laughing at the same shots I laughed at yesterday (craig shared the same laughter as he didn't get to see some of them). I thought I really need to take a nap I am so tired and I started to open up the formals of Meleah and so now I can't push myself away from the desk.

Here is a sneak preview of a couple I have ran across that I just love!! Hang in there, I will be getting these done in a few days!!!

Something to keep you all posted!

I have had several asking for a “Blog” to keep track of what I have been doing. Bare with me as I make this!! I hate to get my site too busy with too many places to go and too many things to click. I don’t bother trying to navigate those kinds of sites. That helped me make up my mind when I redone my homepage. I hope it works for everyone as I know a big percentage of people can’t view some sites easily.

I have had so many requests for weddings and I am sorry to have to turn everyone down. I loved the few I have done and would like to continue to do some, but can’t commit to being a “Wedding Photographer”. Maybe some day I will get into them a little bit more with another photographer…..Melissa….you know I would fly over to help you anytime :)

I am doing a wedding for my cousin this weekend and I am so excited!!! She is a beautiful person and she is going to make an awesome bride for photos. So that is about all I have been doing this week… planning and getting things in order for the weekend with her wedding. Check out my site in a few weeks as I will have those up and going!!!
